BELLE OF THE BALL EARRINGS
- 15/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Gold" (4202)
- 3mm druks "Fiesta Hollyhock"
- 4mm druks "Opaque Turquoise Luster"
- 6mm druks "Opaque Turquoise Luster"
I showed you a sample of this colorway yesterday, HERE. I hope that I've got something to wear them with because I do like them even though the colors are brighter than I usually wear. I should try to come up with a matching bracelet too, if I can find just the right pattern that calls for druks in two colors.
While making these earrings last night, I thought of something that I should mention about the tutorial. In my post on Thursday, HERE, I mentioned that I needed to add two seed beads in steps 13 and 15 when I used Miyuki beads. Well, the same is true with Toho beads, at least with the colors that I've used. One bead isn't enough to fill the gap properly with either brand. If you're using some really fat Toho beads, one might be enough so just try it both ways and see which works the best.
The free "Belle of the Ball Earrings" tutorial can be found on THIS site. UPDATE: Unfortunately, this pattern is no longer available.
Linda it amazes me how beautiful your beading is! I love this earring. I think you could use a few bracelet patterns from Deborah Roberti such as: "any bead" saturday night" or "byzantium" would look great. Or a possibility you could alternate druk colors in "venetian" Whatever pattern you choose will be fantastic. Thank you again for your colorways :)

Thanks, Linda. I just looked through my patterns and of course at least half of the ones I'm going to try are Deb's patterns. I'm a bit limited by the number of druks that I've got so I'll make some samples now and see what I think of them. I do have some SuperDuos in two of the colors which gives me more options. At the moment I'm leaning toward Deb's "Eclipse Bracelet" but it will depend on how it looks in those colors.
