Free Beading Patterns - Rosalie Bracelet & Earrings

ROSALIE BRACELET & EARRINGS
  • 11/0 seed beads Toho "Nickel Plated" (711)
  • 8/0 seed beads Toho "Nickel Plated" (711)
  • Ginko beads "Metallic Suede Purple"
  • Paisley Duo beads "Polychrome Blueberry"

If you've been wondering what I have been up to since my last post, you can see that I was busy designing a couple of new patterns. I recently got some of the new Ginko beads to try out and they work very nicely with Paisley Duos as you can see. Although I have quite a few Ginko colors, I only have Paisley Duos in a few but I managed to come up with five pretty colorways. I had enough Paisley Duo beads to make both a bracelet and a pair of earrings in three of the colorways. You'll find the links to download the free bracelet and earrings patterns down below near the bottom of this post.

The "Rosalie" patterns work well with Miyuki and Toho seed beads with only a small change for using Miyuki beads. This change is indicated in the pattern instructions. Also, due to the design of the bracelet, it can be tricky to make it fit some wrist sizes. For that reason, there is an optional way to end the bracelet with an additional Ginko bead on each end. This extender bead makes it possible to fit in-between wrist sizes without having to use a lot of extra jump rings on the clasp. When I made a bracelet for myself using the original clasp loops, I had to use three jump rings on each end to make it fit me. When I added the extra Ginko beads to each end, the bracelet fit me with only one jump ring on each end.

Below is a sample that shows two ideas that I had for extending the bracelet. I decided that the Ginko bead option suited the style of the bracelet better than the seed bead extender. Of course you can use the either option if you like but only the Ginko option is mentioned in the pattern. Both methods add about the same length to the bracelet.

  1. Linda, these are lovely! I suspected you were busy finding ways to use the Paisley Duos when you hadn't posted for a while. A nice surprise to see the Gingkos with them, as I'd been eyeing both beads for a bit and now I have a great excuse to get some of both. (Is the bead info right on the last set in coral/apricot?)

    1. Thanks for catching that Barbara. That's what happens when I copy and paste instead of typing each bead list individually. It's fixed now.

Hi Linda, I visit your site often, but this is the 1st time I've commented. Luv your use of colors, and these new bracelets are so beautiful. About 4 days ago I received my order for Paisley and Ginko beads. I can't wait to make this beautiful bracelet of yours. Thank you so much for the pattern and your site. And yes...my name is Linda too.

I do low carb when I need to lose weight quickly. It's the only thing that has really worked for me. I'm not that strict... it still works even doing 50 carbs or under. My downfall is cake.... -_-'

  8. Thanks, Linda. I wasn’t sure because the Paisley beads look quite ‘peachy’. I love the colour!

    1. They are more pink or dusty rose than peach but they do have a yellowish tint. It's a "warm" pink or rose.

  9. What is the name of the larger, comma-shaped beads that go so well with Ginko beads? I can't order them until I know the name to order. They are the primo-featured beads on this page. Please reply to my email. Thank you. Lucetta
