Free beading pattern: Art Deco Chain with Pearls

ART DECO CHAIN WITH PEARLS
  • 15/0 seed beads Miyuki "Light Bronze" (457L)
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Light Bronze" (457L)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Light Bronze" (457L)
  • 11/0 seed beads Toho "Higher Metallic Matte Blue Haze" (512F)
  • 3mm druks "Sky Blue Picasso"

I've blogged about this motif design a couple of times, HERE and HERE. I decided that my method for making the chain link motif is different enough from the original that I could post my version of the tutorial for download. I apologize for the lack of illustrations in the pattern but I didn't have time to add them and I think you should be able to follow the instructions well enough without them. If you get stuck, let me know and I will post some photos to clarify any confusing steps.

  5. Thank you for making your beautiful patterns available. I'm quite new to beading and so I hope it's ok to ask a question: where you specify 3mm pearls or druks from what I see on sites that sell beads they're about the same size as an 8/0 yet in your lovely bracelet they look a lot bigger than the bronze 8/0s- am I missing something?! Help!!

    1. 8/0 seed beads are pretty close to 3mm but only in width (diameter). They're not 3mm "tall". The druks look bigger because they're 3mm in diameter in all directions.
