Bracelet of the Day: SuperDuo Rosette Bracelet - Black & Mint

 SUPERDUO ROSETTE BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Toho "Antiqued Metallic Black" (TY-11-Y0503) *
  • SuperDuo beads "Jet Bronze Picasso"
  • 3mm Druks "Mint Picasso" (Nirvana Beads)
* These also go by the name "Jet Bronze Picasso" (TY-11-0506). I have both colors and they're identical.

Time for another SuperDuo Rosette Bracelet. I used all 11/0 seed beads for the netting on this one. Pardon the poor photos but I sent this to a friend for Christmas and can't re-take them. You can buy this pattern in Sam Wescott's Etsy shop HERE.

  1. Hi Linda :)
I wondered how you make this bracelet without the thread showing? I bought the pattern and tried unsuccessfully(several times) to make it. Even tried with 11/0's? Thought perhaps the bigger beads would help! I really like the simple but classic lines in this pattern but about ready to pull my hair out! I do not like c-lon thread because it splits. I use 6lb fireline or wildfire so limited on colors to match beads and really on a budget so buying all the expensive colors of thread is not an option. Any ideas would be appreciated! Love the post with peach and antique brass...just beautiful! I made a bracelet with white pearls, red bicones and antique brass seeds. it is perhaps my fav! I am not a girly girl type but an outdoors very down to earth person. Yet the classic colors win me every time. Thanks again for all your helpful information, I am afraid I am a beading addict,
Have a wonderful April fools day,
    Linda from Georgia

    1. I also had some trouble with the thread showing with this pattern sometimes. You have to pull your thread very tight at each stage when you're adding the SuperDuos. It also seemed to be worse when I used druks or pearls that were on the large side, which is sometimes the case with the cheap Chinese pearl beads. And the most important thing I figured out was that FireLine does NOT work with this pattern. I think that's because it's a bit stiff. I know that she recommends it but I had no luck with it at all. I use Nymo D thread when I make this pattern.

    2. Thanks! I will see if a change in thread helps but not sure what I have on hand. I just loved the photos you posted of this pattern :) Is there a way to post photos on a message here? I think you have amazing talent with colors and making patterns better :)
Off today so I will be working on a Deb pattern called "Circe" Have you tried it? I work in a public library full time and want to make some bracelets to wear for Spring. I also teach basic beading classes every few months for the patrons. If you have any ideas for classes I look forward to hearing from you! You can always leave a message via facebook.

    3. I'm pretty sure that there's no way to post photos in the comments section. If you have a Facebook page, you could post your photo there and post the link to it in your comment. Or, you could post a picture on Pinterest and link to it here.

Yes, I have tried "Circe" but haven't completed a bracelet yet. It's in one of my little project containers along with the beads I want to use.

  2. Linda, will you ever post videos on how you make your creations with the adjustments. I've seen many of your posts and I always like your creations better. Please show how you make your beading projects or please sell the instructions. Either way, I would like to know how you make yours.

    1. Hi Paulette. I don't have the capability of making videos. Why do you want me to sell my patterns when I'm giving them away free?
