Bracelet of the Day: Canterbury - Aquamarine Celsian & Silver

CANTERBURY BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Emerald Lined" (11-1933)
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Pale Mink" (11-4221) *
  • 4mm fire polished beads "Aquamarine Celsian"
  • 6mm fire polished beads "Aquamarine Celsian"

I made this for a friend and only took this one photo of it. I also never wrote down the bead specs but I'm pretty sure that I used the ones listed above. I don't make all that many silver bracelets but I love this one. You may not be able to see them but the "Emerald Lined" seed beads were used as accent beads in the center of each motif. Although the pattern doesn't suggest it, I usually add an accent bead whenever I make this pattern. The pattern is by Nancy Peterson and you can buy the pattern HERE.
UPDATE 3/9/2021: Nancy is no longer selling her beading patterns but she has graciously allowed me to post her "Canterbury Bracelet" pattern on my blog as a free download. To download a copy, please visit THIS post.

* I'm not positive of the silver seed bead color that I used. It may have been Miyuki "Antique Silver-Nickel" (11-464A).

  1. This is just a breathtakingly beautiful bracelet! You have an amazing eye for color. When I checked out the photo of the bracelet where you purchase it, I would have never purchased it based on that bracelet. But yours is just perfection.

    1. Thanks. You're right. The photos on that site aren't the greatest but this is the one that sold me on the pattern: http://www.lanaikinsky.com/patternlistall.php#212. Not that I would dream of using those colors but I was able to see the potential of that pattern more readily. I've made Canterbury so many times now without the extra row of embellishment that I keep forgetting that the original isn't like that.
