  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (457)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (457)
  • SuperDuo beads "Crystal Gold Luster"
  • 8mm 2-hole Candy beads "White Alabaster Pink Terracotta"
  • 3mm druks "Bronze"
  • 4mm druks "Transparent Matte Rosaline Luster"
  • 4mm bicones "Rose Topaz AB" (Chinese)

Today's bracelet was adapted from Deb Roberti's "Flutter" pattern. I blogged before about another one made with Candy beads HERE.

You can buy the "Flutter Bracelet" pattern at Around the Beading Table HERE. You can buy Candy beads at QueenCityBead on Etsy.

Yesterday I went to a local bead shop called Beads One. They had a special coupon for email subscribers good for 50% off all strands. I got quite a nice little pile of beads for around $13.00 with tax.

There are two strands of a new kind of rondelles that have a pearly, metallic coating. I got a strand of aqua and one of olive green. The most expensive beads on the pile are the 4mm cube beads. I'm planning to use those to try THIS video tutorial. Here's a screenshot of the bracelet from Gina's video:

Gina's "Royal Beauty Bracelet" on YouTube

The funny thing is that just after taking the photo of those beads, I was scooping them up into a container when the cord on the cube beads snapped and those beads all slid off. Luckily all but four of them went into the container.

I see that Beads One doesn't have the cube color that I bought listed on their website. I thought they had quite a few on the rack but apparently they've sold out of it. The color is called "Purple Velvet AB". They're a very pretty combination of dark, smoky purple and hints of metallic bronze. The only beads on the pile that are available online are the 3mm and 4mm pearls. The two colors that I bought are the "Royal Blue #32" and "Fucsia #20" (their spelling). The royal blue ones are more like turquoise or teal than what I'd call royal blue.

  1. Love this bracelet I haven't done any beading for over a year. I have been looking after our eldest son with MS and we lost him on Oct 5th. This bracelet really appeals to me so maybe it will give me a project to distract me which is what I really need right now. Thanks for sharing hugs Ann

    1. I'm very sorry for your loss, Ann. If you have a moment, please send me an email using the "Send me an email" form on the right side of my blog.

    2. Oops, I forgot to say, mention this bracelet in your email so I'll know that it's you.

    3. Me again. Are you Ann Lind? If so, I've already got your email address if you're still at "".

    4. Yes Linda it is me and my email addy is still the same. Hugs Ann

    5. Ann..I'm very sorry for the loss of your son.I hope you can find comfort in your memories of him.

    6. Linda..I saw this video and want to make this bracelet also but it may be too difficult for me.I had a cornea transplant last month and I'm anxious to get back to beading but this design looks difficult.

    7. Did you watch the video, Marge? I watched most of it and it seemed pretty straight forward. I think it looks overly complicated because of the transparent beads that she uses. I haven't tried it yet but I'll report back once I do.

  2. Love your newest flutter bracelet selection of beads! I've made once with one of your suggested combinations Linda and it came out beautiful. my camera is just not working that great otherwise I would photo it

    1. Thanks, Melinda. Flutter is a fun bracelet to make and it comes out so pretty.
