Bracelet of the Day: Moon Ring - Blue & Chocolate

MOON RING BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Metallic Chocolate" (461)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Metallic Chocolate" (461)
  • 3mm druks "Dark Brown"
  • 4mm bicones "Aqua-Bronze" (#34741018 - Cousin brand)

I recently blogged HERE about some Chinese bicones that I found at Prima Bead. I've since ordered a few more of the colors that I blogged about and I also got some of a similar color called "Aqua-Bronze". These are an opal blue color with metallic dark bronze spots on them. I like the turquoise and aqua bicones better but these are different and pretty too. You can find the bicones HERE at Prima Bead.

I did find it challenging to find other beads that would go with them though. They're an unusual shade of blue and the only seed beads that go well with the dark bronze on them are Miyuki's Metallic Chocolate beads. Luckily I have a wide variety of other kinds of beads in this dark coppery bronze color. The pattern calls for 3mm fire polished beads but I wasn't crazy about how they looked with these bicones. For some reason they made this bracelet look too chunky. So, I used druks instead for a smoother look.

This is Deb Roberti's "Moon Ring" pattern and you can buy it HERE

  1. Love this pattern and you've chosen well using the fab chocolate seed beads to go with the bicones. I'll be adding some of these calorie free chocolates to my collection!!
