Russian Leaf Earrings - Blizzard Blue & Gold

RUSSIAN LEAF EARRINGS
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Duracoat Galvanized Dark Gold" (DB1833)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Duracoat Silver Lined Matte Dyed Blizzard Blue" (DB2176)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Dark Gold" (4203)

I used a slightly different design on these earrings than the ones that I blogged about yesterday. The only difference is that these don't have the little crosses in the centers of the diamonds. To learn how to make "Russian Leaf Earrings", watch Jill Wiseman's YouTube video tutorial HERE and download her free PDF HERE. You will need to follow Jill's tutorial but make them with seven rows instead of nine as Jill instructs.

Download my free earring color chart for this design from THIS post. It's not a tutorial for making Russian Leaf earrings so you will still need to follow Jill's tutorial if you don't already know how to make them. My color chart describes when to pick up each bead color to make the design on these earrings.

Read THIS post where I explain how I finish and reinforce my Russian Leaf earrings. I also have information about how I stiffen my earrings in THIS post.

You can buy Delica beads at Red Panda, Aura Crystals, Supply Emporium and Jill Wiseman Designs.

Russian Leaf Earrings - Mistletoe & Silver

RUSSIAN LEAF EARRINGS
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Duracoat Galvanized Light Pewter" (DB1851)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Duracoat Silver Lined Matte Dyed Mistletoe" (DB2190)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Light Pewter" (4221)

A while back I bought some Delica beads in two silver lined matte colors. What I love about these two colors is that they have a sort of glowing translucent appearance yet they are completely opaque. I bought them specifically for making "Russian Leaf Earrings". Today's earrings are made with the pale green beads and the ones that I will blog about tomorrow are blue.

To learn how to make "Russian Leaf Earrings", watch Jill Wiseman's YouTube video tutorial HERE and download her free PDF HERE. You will need to follow Jill's tutorial but make them with seven rows instead of nine as Jill instructs.

Mystery SuperDuo Bracelet & Corundum Earrings Set - Rembrandt Mix

MYSTERY SUPERDUO BRACELET

  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Brown/Tan Matte Picasso" (1334)
  • SuperDuo beads "Rembrandt Mix" (Supply Emporium)

A while back I blogged HERE about the 3-row version of the "Mystery SuperDuo Bracelet" below that I had made with a bead pack from Supply Emporium. The bead pack came with that wonderful leather slide clasp. I still had quite a few of the Rembrandt Mix SuperDuos left so I made a 2-row bracelet and some matching "Corundum Earrings" for someone.

CORUNDUM EARRINGS
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Montana Matte Dark Teal Picasso" (4516)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Brown/Tan Matte Picasso" (1334)
  • SuperDuo beads "Rembrandt Mix" (Supply Emporium)

You'll find the free tutorial for Pascale G-Mikovic's "Mystery SuperDuo Bracelet" HERE on my blog. Claire's bead pack for the 3-row bracelet is available in her Etsy shop HERE. You can also buy her Rembrandt Mix SuperDuos separately HERE. You can buy Kelly Dale's "Corundum" earring pattern HERE in her Etsy shop or watch her YouTube tutorial HERE.

Tammy Bracelet Samples with GemDuos

I was asked recently if my "Tammy Bracelet" pattern would work with GemDuos instead of DiamonDuos. When I designed the pattern, GemDuos didn't exist yet so I wasn't sure if they would work well. I made these two samples the other day and later discovered that I had in fact already tried the pattern with GemDuos and forgot that I'd done it. You can read about it in THIS post. I figured that I might as well show you these two colorways since I went to the trouble of making them.

Although I have two colors of matte copper seed beads in my stash that go pretty well with these GemDuos, I don't have either color in 15/0 beads. In a pinch these Duracoat Dark Mauve beads worked quite nicely. They're not really mauve at all and they're pretty darn close to being copper.

LEFT SAMPLE:

  • 15/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Galvanized Dark Mauve" (4213)
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Galvanized Dark Mauve" (4213)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Galvanized Dark Mauve" (4213)
  • GemDuo beads "Copper Splash Turquoise"
  • GemDuo beads "Bronze Copper"

RIGHT SAMPLE:

  • 15/0 seed beads Toho "Metallic Bronze Antique Gold" (225)
  • 11/0 seed beads Toho "Metallic Bronze Antique Gold" (225)
  • 8/0 seed beads Toho "Metallic Bronze Antique Gold" (225)
  • GemDuo beads "Chalk Lazure Blue"
  • GemDuo beads "Metallic Sueded Dark Green"

Download my free "Tammy Bracelet" pattern from THIS post. I got both of the main GemDuo colors at Queen City Bead. You'll find the Chalk Lazure Blue ones HERE and the Copper Splash Turquoise ones HERE.

Presa Linda Variation - Blue Green Ceramic

PRESA LINDA BRACELET VARIATION
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (457)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (457)
  • Samos® par Puca® beads "Blue Green Ceramic"
  • 4mm fire polished beads "Metallic Suede Gold"

Here is my third "Presa Linda" made with Samos® par Puca® beads and fire polished beads instead of Pinch beads and Silky beads. I think that this colorway is my favorite of the three.

"Presa Linda" is a variation of Carole Ohl's "Presa Bracelet" pattern, which you can buy HERE. "Presa Linda Bracelet" is a free pattern and you can download it from THIS post. You'll find Samos® par Puca® beads HERE at Queen City Bead on Etsy.

Presa Linda Variation - Champagne Gold

PRESA LINDA BRACELET VARIATION
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Galvanized Silver" (D4201)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Galvanized Silver" (D4201)
  • Samos® par Puca® beads "Metallic Matte Beige"
  • 4mm fire polished beads "Brown Gold Champagne"

Last week I showed you two little samples of "Presa Linda" made with Samos® par Puca® beads and fire polished beads instead of Pinch beads and Silky beads. Click HERE to read that post. Since then I have made both bracelets and I will show you the other one tomorrow.

I found these unusual fire polished beads in a local bead shop and I have no idea where to buy them online. I'm not even sure if that was the actual color name or something that I came up with because there was no color name on the label when I bought them. They have a mirror finish on one side and they're a transparent champagne color on the other.

Harlequin Bracelet - Turquoise Bronze

HARLEQUIN BRACELET
  • 15/0 seed beads Miyuki/Czech "Black Bronze" (CZ55030)
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki/Czech "Black Bronze" (CZ55030)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki/Czech "Black Bronze" (CZ55030)
  • Kite beads "Turquoise Laser Bronze Matte Feather"
  • 6mm 2-hole cabochons "Alabaster Pastel Dark Brown"

I've blogged about Norma Jean Dell's "Harlequin Bracelet" a few times before HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE. When I saw these copper and turquoise Kite beads at Queen City Bead, I had to have some. I love the colors and the etched leaf design makes them even more special. Once I had them, I realized that it wasn't going to be easy matching them up with seed beads. The best color turned out to be these Miyuki/Czech hybrid beads which are a very dark chocolatey copper.

You can buy Norma Jean Dell's "Harlequin Bracelet" pattern HERE on Etsy. You can buy these Kite beads HERE at Queen City Bead. Red Panda has the seed beads and you'll find the 15/0 beads HERE, the 11/0 beads HERE and the 8/0 beads HERE.
