I've blogged about Deb Roberti's "Flutter Bracelet" pattern once before HERE. This time I decided to try some of the tweaks that I'd seen on the Neisz Piros gyöngyei blog, HERE. Be sure to go there and see her beautiful beadwork. I love the subtle changes that she made to this bracelet and also the colors that she used. Since I don't have the same beads that she used, I came up with this colorway using what I had on hand.
Neisz Piros replaced the seed beads that Deb calls for along the outer edges of the SuperDuo beads with 3mm bicones. I had a hard enough time coming up with two colors of 4mm bicones that went together and none of my 3mm bicones were the right color. So, instead I used 8/0 seed beads and they fit perfectly. I think that the seed beads also outline the motifs nicely. Note that I also used an 8/0 seed bead in the center of each motif instead of a 3mm bead. Deb's pattern does suggest seed beads as an option.
The other tweak that Neisz Piros made was adding 15/0 seed beads across tops of the center SuperDuos in each motif. If you look closely at her photos, you'll see that she used three 15/0 beads. However, I got better results using four. It doesn't seem to matter if they're Miyuki or Toho seed beads. Four just seem to fill the space better than three for me. That may be due to using 8/0 seed beads instead of the 3mm bicones that she used.

I also went ahead and made the "Loretta Deco Bracelet" to go with my "Marquesa Earrings. Read Wednesday's post, HERE, for the details. This design is my adaptation of "Loretta Bracelet" pattern by Ewa Kovács. The pattern is posted on Pinterest HERE. It's actually an earring pattern but I connected the motifs with jump rings to make a bracelet. This wasn't my own idea though. I saw a photo online of a bracelet made like this HERE. I've modified the motif a little and my version looks kind of Art Deco so that's why I call it "Loretta Deco".

As you can see, I did have enough Suede Blue MiniDuos to make this bracelet. I blogged yesterday about making several bracelet samples to see which one I wanted to make to go with a pair of "Marquesa" earrings. Read my post HERE. I do plan to make a "Loretta Deco" bracelet as well but I really wanted to try this pattern. The pattern is from Deborah Roberti and you can buy it HERE.
Unfortunately, I will have to take this bracelet apart and re-make it because it came out a little too long. It would be too short if I remove one motif so I will have to somehow change the clasp loops to make them shorter. I have an idea that I think should do the trick.
Now that I've had a chance to try this pattern, I will definitely make more of them in other colors. It was easy to make, is just the width that I like and I like the feel of it. I'm also thinking of adding 8/0 accent color beads between the Silky beads.

I first blogged about this pair of earrings way back in 2014 HERE. I made them to go with a colorful top that I wear that has the same blue in it. Now I want to make a bracelet that will go with them so I made some samples in the same bead colors using a variety of patterns. I've pretty much decided to make the "Loretta Deco Bracelet" but it's a tough choice because I like them all very much. I also like the "MiniDuo Bands" sample a lot but I'm not sure if I have enough of the MiniDuos. Another reason that I'm leaning toward the "Loretta Deco Bracelet" is because it has some bronze druks like the earrings have. We'll see. Maybe I'll make both bracelets

I posted a bunch of samples that I'd made with this earring pattern a couple years ago, HERE, and this colorway was one of them. I'm glad that I finally got around to making a pair of these for myself because they're very pretty.
