I ran into a little issue with this particular bracelet. I use Miyuki seed beads most of the time but I really wanted to use this particular Toho bronze color because it's a little more yellow. I've made a few Elinor bracelets now and they usually fit me just right. But, because I used Toho seed beads for this one, it came out much too big and I will have to re-make it sometime. Tomorrow's bracelet of the day also has the same Toho seed beads and you'll see the solution that I came up with to make the bracelet fit me. The purple "Elinor Bracelet" that I posted last Friday, HERE, measures 6 3/4 inches long, tomorrow's bracelet measures just under 6 1/2 inches long and today's bracelet is a full 7 inches long. When I have it on, it falls too far down over my hand.
Once again, for today's and tomorrow's bracelets, I switched around the order of the motifs from what's stated in the pattern.
I'm not usually much of a fan of anything yellow but I love the subtle mustard yellow of this bracelet. I even have a yellow top that this will go with very nicely.
"Elinor" is a free pattern and you can download it either from last Friday's post HERE, or from the list of free beading patterns on the right hand side of my blog.
that combo of colours and motifs work so well it looks so old doesnt it
