After finishing up the last of my Christmas beadwork last week, I decided to indulge and make this set for myself using some of my favorite fire polished beads. Sadly, this color has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I'm wondering though if they've decided to bring back this color because I found some online on some sites that never had this color before. Aura Crystals has them HERE. Artbeads has them HERE. THIS Etsy shop has one strand in stock and so does THIS one. THIS Canadian Etsy shop has a lot of them in stock. The Bead Obsession also has them HERE. I already have a large supply of these but it's still nice to know that they're available again.

I had a difficult time editing my photos to show the true color of the fire polished beads. They're a little more mauve than pink. Here is a swatch that looks more like the actual color:

You can buy Deb's "Crystal Tile Bracelet" pattern HERE at Around the Beading Table. Her "Hana-Ami Motif" pattern is free and you can download it HERE.

  1. It looks like you have slightly changed the thread path, going through the three seed beads as in step 5 but also going through the single seed bead that had been added with the bicone in the previous step. I made a bracelet and found that not going through the resulting 5 seed beads (the three and each single side ones) creates a large space between the fire polish beads. Is this the case?

    1. Good eye. You're the first person to notice this. I actually bead it as directed but go back around later to reinforce each motif and go through all of those seed beads in the process. I've done this with every Crystal Tile bracelet that I've made. I think it lines up the seed beads a little more nicely. Deb's original version of this pattern had three 15/0 beads there instead of all 11/0s. I changed them to 11/0s with the very first Crystal Tile that I made years ago and Deb later did the same with the pattern when she updated it. The 15/0s were too tiny for the scale of the design and they made the gaps even larger.

  2. Linda, thankyou for such a quick answer. I wondered why my bracelet didn't match your photo.
