I made this pair of earrings to go with two of my tops that both have these same colors in them. It was a challenge but I actually used five different Delica bead colors in this tiny design. The color chart below only has four colors. I replaced the green beads on the chart that run along the bottom edge with the fifth color, which is "Cactus". The only place that I used the "Muscat" beads was to make the center cross.
* I've discovered that over time these copper plated beads tarnish and turn a dark brown color. From now on when I use this color, I will brush clear nail polish on the front of the earring as well as on the back. This will solve the problem because the color hasn't tarnished on the back of the earrings because I had coated with nail polish to stiffen them.
To learn how to make "Russian Leaf Earrings", watch Jill Wiseman's YouTube video tutorial HERE and download her free PDF HERE. You will need to follow Jill's tutorial but make them with seven rows instead of nine as Jill instructs.
You can buy Delica beads at Red Panda, Aura Crystals, Supply Emporium and Jill Wiseman Designs.
