QUICK SUPERDUO BRACELET
- 15/0 seed beads “Metallic Chocolate” *
- 3mm druks “Bronze Antique” **
- SuperDuo beads “Opaque Green Luster”
** I bought these at Beadoholique. A while back they got in a large assortment of gorgeous druks from Nirvana Beads.
My friend, Teejay, came up with this variation of a Beading Daily tutorial called "Quick Bracelet with Two-holed Seed Beads", which we call "Quick SuperDuo Bracelet" for short. Her version is actually more like the motifs in this one called "More Right-angle Weave With Two-holed Seed Beads". You can also connect the motifs with SuperDuo beads instead of druks like Teejay did in this example:
Here are the earrings that I'm wearing today with this bracelet:
I made them with Vintaj charms that I bought at Hobby Lobby for about $3.00.
Just gorgeous! You make such wonderful color choices. Those Vintaj charms are so useful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanie. I'll see if I can tear myself away from my beads long enough to type up a tutorial one of these days.
DeleteFirst you do BEAUTIFUL work! I love almost all of your pieces! My question is how can I view your page without the vintage background hiding the words? It starts off visible then the background appears.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Chrisi
Thanks, Chrisi. I don't know what to tell you about the text. It shouldn't be going anywhere near the background. Do you have your computer font size set really large perhaps? I've checked in both Internet Explorer and Firefox and the text is all within the beige area of the page.
DeleteIt scrolls over top of the background in only text not the color behind the comments. I dont know . Your work is really nice though. :)
ReplyDeleteLinda, could you tell me about the clasp you use here? Is it a specific brand, and can you tell me where you purchase them?
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Liz
I bought them in a local shop but they're readily available online. They call them "Trailer Hitch" clasps and they're not expensive. Some are more cheaply made than others so you need to look closely at the photos if you buy them online. The really cheap ones have stamped edges that don't look nicely finished. This type of clasp is nice because you can pretty easily fasten it on yourself with one hand.
DeleteThanks for sharing this beautiful pattern! I am definitely going to try it out.
DeleteYou have a pattern for this one it's beautiful
ReplyDeleteAs I mentioned above, it's based on this pattern: http://tinyurl.com/qjgmzvm
Deletevery lovely, and I really enjoy your jewelry and hope to be able to learn from your work. Nix on the Hobby Lobby though. I do not shop at places to treat women as children.
ReplyDeleteI would ask what you mean by your comment but this really isn't the place for that kind of discussion.
DeleteUnfortunately the link doesn't work
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know. They had moved that page. I did a search for that article and found the new link and updated my post. The first article with the bracelet pattern does still work.
