A few favorite Zentangle Tangles

While waiting to get back to my beading, I've been spending some of my free time trying out lots of tangle patterns. In the process, I've found quite a few fun ones that I enjoy drawing very much. Instead of using official Zentangle tiles, I've been drawing on squares that I've cut from various colors of card stock. I draw my tangles with Micron pens and I sometimes add touches of color with colored pencils. Today and tomorrow I will show you a few of my favorites.

This pattern is called "Daisies Make Me Cross" and is by Helen Williams. I drew the variation that Helen shows at the bottom of THIS post on her blog. Melinda Barlow has a YouTube video that shows how to make this version HERE.

I love these adorable little critters called "Indy Rella" and they're fun to draw. This is one of the official Zentangle patterns. I haven't seen a step-out for this one anywhere but there are several YouTube tutorials for it HERE.

I can't seem to find a link to this pattern called "Jash" by J. Ashbee. The step-out comes up when I search Pinterest but the link always goes to a blog that is not public. I did find THIS YouTube video tutorial.

This tangle is called "Lichen". You can find the step-out and links to a couple of YouTube videos HERE at Pattern-Collections.com.

"Oh Well" is from Melinda Barlow. You can find the step-out as well as three video links HERE.

This quirky tangle is called "Ojo". It's from Lara Williams, CZT and you can find the pattern at her Rock Paper Studio blog HERE.

  1. Great to see these tangles - reminds me that I've not tangled for really too long as it is so good to do.

    1. By the way, I finally picked up my beading today. I'm working on a fringe earring for my sister-in-law. She saw some that she liked on Etsy and I adapted the design to make them shorter at her request.
