I have made two more "Astral Bracelets"; today's and one that I will blog about tomorrow. "Astral Bracelet" is a free pattern by Deb Roberti which you can download HERE at Around the Beading Table.
Below are samples of five more colorways that I've decided not to make. I used 7mm CzechMates cabochons for two of the sampels, 6mm 2-hole cabochons for two of them and for the fifth one I tried 8mm Candy beads. While I like the look of the Candy beads very much, there is a problem with those beads and this pattern. The netting beads that surround the cabs have a tendency to slide off the edge and flop to the back. The colorway that you see below didn't flop too badly but the other Candy bead colors that I tried were a horrible mess so I gave up on the idea of using them.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Jeanie.
DeleteUnless I am missing it, Deborah’s pattern doesn’t mention 8/0 seed beads. Only the 11/0 size. Where did you use the 8/0 in the pattern.
ReplyDeleteHi Christy. I used two 8/0 beads; one on each end to attach my jump rings.
