Robin's Nest Bracelet - Dusty Rose & Gold

ROBIN'S NEST BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Light Bronze" (457L)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Light Bronze" (457L)
  • 8mm 2-hole Candy beads "Matte Gold aka Flax"
  • Pinch beads "Chalk White Gold Luster"

You can buy Robin Demarse's pattern HERE in Carole Ohl's Etsy shop.

This bracelet pattern works with both Miyuki and Toho seed beads but you will need to adjust the bead count with Toho. With Miyuki beads you will use six 11/0 beads on each side of the Candy beads. With Toho beads, use only five on each side. I added a diamond motif on each end to attach my clasp. Without those extensions, the bracelet would have been a little too short for me. For my 6-inch wrist, I needed 8 Candy beads and 32 Pinch beads.

If you need to buy some Candy beads and/or Pinch beads, I have links to sources for both of them over on the right side of my blog under WHERE TO BUY..., or click HERE for Candy beads and HERE for Pinch beads. Bear in mind that they do make a larger size of Pinch beads but these are the regular 5mm size.

Robin's Nest Bracelet - Jet Picasso

ROBIN'S NEST BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Toho "Grey Iris Matte" (512F) *
  • 8/0 seed beads Toho "Grey Iris Matte" (512F) *
  • 8mm 2-hole Candy beads "Jet"
  • Pinch beads "Jet Picasso"

* aka "Higher Metallic Matte Blue Haze"

I was recently poking around in Carole Ohl's Etsy shop for ideas for using the new Ginko beads. While I was there I spotted this super cute "Robin's Nest Bracelet" pattern. It's basically the same as Carole's and my "Presa Linda Bracelet" design but with Candy beads instead of Silkies and the diamond motifs between the Silky beads have been omitted. That makes it even quicker and easier to make and I like that the bracelet comes out a little wider than "Presa Linda". You can buy Robin Demarse's pattern HERE in Carole's shop. You can download the free "Presa Linda" pattern HERE.

This bracelet pattern works with both Miyuki and Toho seed beads but you will need to adjust the bead count with Toho. With Miyuki beads you will use six 11/0 beads on each side of the Candy beads. With Toho beads, use only five on each side. As you can see, on my bracelet I added a diamond motif on each end to attach my clasp. Without those extensions, the bracelet would have been a little too short for me. For my 6-inch wrist, I needed 8 Candy beads and 32 Pinch beads.

I made four more of these bracelets in various colorways and will be posting them over the next few days.

Bear in mind that they do make a larger size of Pinch beads but this bracelet calls for the regular 5mm size.

Fringe Earrings #107 - Blue Grey, Sienna & Brown

FRINGE EARRINGS #107
  • 8/0 seed beads Toho "Nickel Plated" (711)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Opaque Chocolate Brown" (DB734)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Duracoat Opaque Sienna" (DB2109)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Opaque Pear" (DB1131)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Matte Opaque Blue Grey" (DB792)

I like the colors that Ana Belous used to make the earrings that you can see on her blog HERE. I used the same color scheme to make these smaller earrings with a different top section and adapted her pretty fringe design to fit.

Fringe Earrings #109 - Mulberry & Black

FRINGE EARRINGS #109
  • 8/0 seed beads Toho "Nickel Plated" (711)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Opaque Black" (DB10)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Nickel Plated" (DB21)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Opaque Mulberry Glazed Luster" (DB265)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Opaque Light Smoke" (DB1498)

Believe it or not, I used the same design as THESE "folk art" earrings to make this pair of subtly colored earrings. I had a very hard time getting the mulberry color to look right in my photos and these are actually very pretty. The color is slightly more purple than mauve and what look like white beads are really a very pale gray.

Fringe Earring Samples - Pink, Black & Silver

FRINGE EARRINGS
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Light Pewter" (4221)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Duracoat Galvanized Matte Light Cranberry" (DB1841F)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Duracoat Galvanized Light Pewter" (DB1851)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Opaque Black" (DB10)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Opaque Limestone Luster" (DB211)

Although this looks like a pair of earrings, they are actually two samples that are slightly different. This design is based on some earrings by Ana Belous that you can see on THIS page of her site. Hers are made with red, blue and yellow beads. I made the earring on the left first but there were some things that I don't like about it. I don't like the black beads that I had added at the top of the fringe on both sides. There is also not enough contrast between the white and silver beads all over the earring.

So, I gave it one more shot and while I do like it better than the first one, I'm not sure yet if I will keep trying, take them both apart or make the mate to it. I did fix the contrast issue by switching some of the colors around but I don't know if I like it well enough that I want a pair of these.

Mystery SuperDuo Bracelet Set - Rembrandt Matte Green

MYSTERY SUPERDUO BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Pewter" (4222)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Pewter" (4222)
  • 8/0 seed beads "Green" (no info available)
  • SuperDuo beads "Rembrandt Matte Turquoise Green"

I used another Rembrandt SuperDuo color to make this set. This color is called "Matte Turquoise Green" but it's not even remotely turquoise. I would call it "pea green". I'm not a big fan of green but I like this color because of the mottled finish on it.

I just happened to have some 8/0 green seed beads that compliment the SuperDuos very nicely. I also used some of them to make the earrings. Unfortunately there is no brand marked on the tube that I bought in a local shop years ago. I suspect that they are made by Matsuno because they are very poorly shaped. The stock number on the tube is 8-411L but I wasn't able to find that color with a Google search. However, it did bring up some shades of green in Matsuno beads but not the green with "L" at the end of the number.

The free tutorial for Pascale G-Mikovic's "Mystery SuperDuo Bracelet" is HERE on my blog. You can either watch Kelly Dale's free YouTube tutorial for the "Corundum Earrings" HERE or buy the pattern HERE in her Etsy shop. You'll find these Rembrandt SuperDuo beads HERE at Supply Emporium.

Fringe Earrings - Aloe & Copper

FRINGE EARRINGS #101
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki/Czech "Black Bronze" (CZ55030)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Opaque Aloe Luster" (DB263)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Galvanized Cinnamon Brown" (DB460)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Matte Bone Glazed Luster" (DB388)
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads "Matte Copper Plated" (DB340)

I used the same Anna Belous design to make these as the purple earrings that I blogged about HERE last Saturday. I think that these will be some of my favorite fringe earrings because I love the subtle colors. I made these to go with one of my tops that has these colors on it.
