ReplyDeleteHi Linda I had some leftover candy beads, etc, and decided to try this pattern. I'm really stumped on step 11, 2nd >. it says "pick up 2 SD .....and go back around...beginning of this step. Go thru inner hole of next SD, and outer hole of same SD." that leaves the third SD in the 3SD circle without thread going through it? I tried drawing thread thru third SD on my own, and omitting the 2nd SD and the motifs are not laying flat. Did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteHi Melinda. The red thread on the diagram shows how you should go through the beads in that step. You start by picking up the four seed beads on the right side plus one SuperDuo, going through the outer hole of that Superduo. Next you go through the other hole of the same SuperDuo which is the hole where the three Superduos will meet in the center. In the second part of the step you pick up two more SuperDuos so there is definitely thread going through all three of them. After picking up the other two, you should circle back around and through the inner hole of the first SuperDuo. That is what connects the three of them in the middle as indicated by the circle of red thread on the diagram. If you like, you can weave around those three SuperDuos once more to reinforce them but it's not really necessary. After circling around the three Superduos, you should exit through the inner hole of the Superduo on the lower left then go through the other hole of that one before adding the four seed beads on the left side.
