IVY BRACELET
- 11/0 seed beads Toho "Transparent Montana Gold Luster" (204)
- 8/0 seed beads Toho "Transparent Montana Gold Luster" (204)
- DiamonDuo beads "Pastel Burgundy"
- SuperDuo beads "Pink Luster Turquoise"
- O-Beads "Oxidized Bronze Berry" (about 2.75 grams)
I wanted to make a "Bluebell" bracelet in this colorway but I wasn't happy with the way it looked once I got started. It looked too solid or something and I think it's much prettier with the open spaces between the DiamonDuos. I love this color combination.

I like the open spaces! Beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteHave a question - you have so many bracelets. How do you store your jewelry that is made and ready to wear? I usually wear silver so it is challenging because of protecting it from tarnish and having it accessible to picking something to wear. I store it individually in plastic bags with anti tarnish strips. I like the jewelry boxes that are just a box (no little drawers, sections, etc). I would like to hear if you or anyone has other ideas. Maybe you could do a post on this topic sometime?
I don't own much metal jewelry (no real silver or gold) so tarnish isn't an issue for me. I keep my "real" jewelry separate from my beaded stuff.
DeleteHowever, storing all of my beaded bracelets and earrings IS getting to be a problem. I've got umpteen jewelry and trinket boxes on my dresser and they're all FULL. I hate just dumping my bracelets in piles like that. It's a pain when I want to look for something to wear. I'm sure that it can't be good for the beads either but I don't have the space or the money for any other type of storage.
You could try keeping your bracelets in small plastic bags or organza bags. I prefer a cotton type cloth bag like you get with a Brighton purchase. They could be easily sewn but I don't like to sew.
ReplyDeleteI have a separate jewelry box for earrings. Since my ears are sensitive, I can only wear a certain sterling ear wire. So I keep all my earrings in small plastic bags and a piece of anti-tarnish paper. Then I arrange the bags by color in this little jewelry box. I keep my bracelets in cloth or organza bags in a separate jewelry box.
You can buy the cloth bags on Ebay but not cheap if you need a lot and I imagine that you would. The organza or plastic lets you see through so you can see which bracelet is in it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-BRIGHTON-CLOTH-DRAWSTRING-JEWELRY-BAGS-/111983166208?hash=item1a12b78300:g:GfUAAOSwJQdW-wgL
