Bracelet of the Day: Twin Cube Band - Chalk Rembrandt

TWIN CUBE BAND
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (457D)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (457D)
  • 3mm cube beads Miyuki "Bronze" (457)
  • SuperDuo beads "Chalk Rembrandt"

This was my first time using cube beads. I bought them ages ago to make this bracelet pattern and only just now got around to making one. I kept seeing photos of it on Pinterest recently and finally decided that I had to try it.

The pattern is from Deborah Roberti and you can buy it at Around the Beading Table HERE. I bought the cube beads HERE at Charlene's Beads but they're also available HERE at Red Panda and HERE at Aura Crystals. Toho also makes 3mm cube beads so be sure to look for them on those sites too.

I made Band #1 from the pattern and it was quick and relatively easy to make. I did change the clasp loop a little but you know that I almost always do that so that I can use a magnet clasp and jump rings. I love how the cubes look in this bracelet but I don't think I'd care for a design that has a lot of them in it. That's why I only bought them in this one color and only in a small amount. I might buy them in some other metallic color sometime because I'd like to make a few more of these bracelets.

The bracelet photos that I've seen all over Pinterest are from the Neisz Piros blog. Click HERE to see her inspirational photos. While you're there, browse through her blog. She has made some beautiful beadwork.

  2. Hi Linda,

Did you make the pattern in exactly the same way using superduos instead of twins, or did you have to make any adjustments?

    1. I didn't make any adjustments. In fact, I made another one last night using some of those unusual flat Superduos and they worked just fine too, if not better.

    2. I'm going to try this pattern. Thank you for letting us see Deb Roberti's pattern through fresh eyes. I love her patterns - they're so easy to follow. And your colour choices bring them to life.
