Pearly Lace Earrings - Three complete pairs

  • 15/0 seed beads "Ceylon Ivory" (421C)

  • 15/0 seed beads Miyuki "Opaque Matte Pale Seafoam" (2028)
  • 15/0 seed beads Toho "Matte Pastel Pink" (764)

  • 15/0 seed beads Miyuki "Duracoat Galvanized Pewter" (D4222)
  • 15/0 seed beads Miyuki "Matte Metallic Patina" (2008)

I chose my three favorite color combos and made a pair of each for myself. I think that the last pair is my favorite of the three. The color is very dark but not so dark that they don't show up next to my hair. The star in the center looks a little pinkish in the photos but it's really metallic pewter which is a dull silver. The dark beads greenish blue beads look kind of shiny in the photo but they actually have a very dull matte finish and aren't shiny at all.

You can buy Iulia Postica's "Pearly Lace Earrings" pattern HERE on Etsy.

  1. Do they seem to hold their shape, or would they be better dipped in a stiffener like Future floor wax? I use it for my snowflakes.

    1. They are quite flexible but they hold their shape pretty well. The ones with shiny beads are a little more floppy than the ones with matte beads. You could coat them with floor wax if you want them very stiff but it's not really necessary. I wouldn't put a shiny coating on the matte ones because I like the matte look.

    2. I have made the first one, and am halfway through the second one of a pair, and I am really impressed with how they hold their shape! Thanks for pointing us to so many tutorials and designers new to me! You introduced me to Nanny Pink's Passion tutorials too!

    3. You're welcome. It's a lot of fun searching the internet for new patterns to try.

    4. Were you surprised when you saw how delicate these earrings look in real life compared to the photos online? They look so big and clunky in photos but they really aren't.

  2. I really was surprised! They really do look clunky, but I was also surprised that they are as long as they are! I like them long, and these fit the bill!
