Christmas Bracelet #1 - Esther Silky Bracelet Variation

Teejay sent me seven beautiful bracelets for Christmas and this is the first of the seven. I will try to figure out as many of the bead colors as I can for each of them.

This one looks very similar to my "Esther Silky Bracelet" pattern which you can download HERE. Instead of putting contrasting seed beads between the Silky beads, Teejay used 4mm fire polished beads. She also connected the seed beads in the center between the Silkies. You'll need to add extra seed beads to do that.

I've blogged about this bracelet design ten times before. You can read my first post about it HERE and do a search of my blog for "Cindy Bracelet" to find the others. I adapted this bracelet from the "Petals & Pearls Bracelet" pattern, which you can buy HERE on Etsy. You can read the details in my first post. It's quick and easy to make so I've made quite a few of these in a variety of colors.

This particular bracelet and earring set was a Christmas present for my sister, Cindy, and I actually did name my version of the bracelet after her. It just looked like the kind of design that she would like and you've probably noticed that I have a tendency to name my bracelets after women. I got very lucky with these turquoise beads because the Silky and druk dye lots were identical. I have other beads that are called the same color name but the color is too different for them to be used together.

Bracelet of the Day: Camille Variation - Rose & Chocolate

As soon as I made this bracelet, I realized that it will go perfectly with my "Chocolate" shirt. If you recall, I blogged about my shirt last March HERE. In the photo below the shirts look very pink but they're actually a little more peachy/pink with bits of a sort of rusty color. I like this bracelet even better than the one in that earlier post but it doesn't go well with those earrings. I'll see what I can come up with for some earrings that will better suite the style of this bracelet.

Beading News - New Halo Ethereal beads

Look what came in the mail yesterday! Aren't they gorgeous? The colors are the same as the original "Halo" beads but they're opaque instead of transparent. I love the original Halo beads but their transparency is sometimes a problem because the thread can show through them. Now we've got the best of both worlds - opaque beads and a glorious glittery golden Halo finish. I'm hoping that they will come out with SuperDuos in these same colors soon.

The only place that I've seen the fire polished beads online is Simply Beads. They just had a site-wide 25% off sale last week so I bought 3mm and 4mm in four colors. The colors that I got are Halo Ethereal Shadows (blue), Halo Ethereal Cherub (pink), Halo Ethereal Regal (purple) and Halo Ethereal Heavens (aqua). The quickest way to find them on their site is to do a search for "Halo Ethereal". The search will bring up all of the fire polished beads and also some Rose Petal beads.

I just did a quick Google search and there are some Etsy shops that have them, including Haute Hobby. I also found them on a bead site called The Bead Obsession.

I love the soft, coppery color of this bracelet. The seed beads that I used are a little more yellowish gold than the way they look in the photos but they look fine with the rest of the beads. I made a pair of my "SuperDuo Flower Chain Earrings" to go with this bracelet but I left off the top section this time. You can get my free earring pattern HERE.

This bracelet was a Christmas present for my friend, Teejay. I got the inspiration for the design from a photo that I saw in the SpinPlanet Etsy shop, HERE. The shop owner sells ready-to-wear jewelry. So, there's no pattern available but it wasn't difficult to figure it out. I love this unusual color combination as well as the feel of the bracelet. I will definitely make more of these when I have a chance.
