A few tangles for Tuesday

I apologize for the lack of blog posts lately, especially ones about beading. I've been working on some beadwork projects for a birthday present so I haven't had a chance to make any new things to blog about. I did make a few "Russian Leaf Earrings" samples the other day and I hope to make the mates to them today which will give me something to blog about later this week. However, after that, it might be a while before I blog again because we're having company from out of town for several days next week and the week after. That means that in a few days time I will have to move all of my beading stuff out to the garage until after our company leaves. In the meantime, I will blog about some tangle patterns whenever I have a chance.

Also, if you have visited my Zentangle Pinterest board, which you'll find HERE, you may have noticed that recently the pattern names have disappeared from below my tangle images in board view. I have been in contact with an expert at Pinterest about how to restore those captions and the issue will be resolved soon. She said it could take up to two weeks for all of the captions to be restored. In the meantime, you can open the pins to see the pattern names. And, as always, you can click to go to my blog posts about the patterns from there as well.

YuRu Chen's "Beikesi" pattern is posted HERE on her blog. She has two versions of this pattern and my example was drawn following version #1.

There is no step-out for this pretty tangle called "Ferngally". Alena Light shows how to draw her tangle HERE in her YouTube video. You'll be mesmerized watching her draw because she makes it look so effortless. I drew this tile that I'm posting today to practice drawing "Ferngally".

"Festune" is an unpublished official Zentangle pattern. I found a step-out on Pinterest but it doesn't link back to a website. However, I have found three video tutorials for this pattern HERE, HERE and HERE.

"Knot" is also by YuRu Chen. Her step-out is HERE on her blog and also at Pattern-Collections.com HERE. MimiXY has a YouTube tutorial HERE. My example tile shows some variations that I tried with this pattern.

Go to The Tao of Tangling blog HERE to find the step-out for Maureen Stott's "Orb Pods" tangle.

You will find Linda Farmer's "Rosé" step-out HERE at TanglePatterns.com.

I'm having trouble tracking down the creator of this pattern called "Shasta". I found one step-out HERE and another one HERE on Pinterest. The second one has the name "Arsenika.Zen" on the photo but I don't see a YouTube video for it HERE on her YouTube channel. Alena Zen Art does have a YouTube video HERE but I don't know if she is the creator of the pattern. This pattern is a tangleation of the official Zentangle tangle called "Cadent" and Sandy Steen Bartholomew’s "Buttercup".
