Duo Kheops Bracelets

DUO KHEOPS BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (457D)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (457D)
  • Kheops par Puca beads "Opaque Rose Gold Ceramic Mix"
  • SuperDuo beads "Matte Chalk Bronze"

Teejay sent me some "Hematite" Kheops par Puca beads for Christmas but I hadn't gotten around to trying them until just recently. Frankly, I wasn't all that keen on the beads because of their angular shape. I also haven't seen more than a couple of patterns for them that I actually like. This bracelet design did catch my eye and I thought it would be just the thing to make with some my Kheops beads. I bought some Kheops in one other color so I've made this bracelet pattern in two colorways.

The pattern I used is from Marina Beads on Etsy and you can buy the pattern HERE. Marina has a few other patterns that use Kheops beads but this is the only one that appeals to me. The oval shape of the motifs seems to soften the angular look of the triangle beads. I did make a little change from the pattern as it's written. I made each motif separately and then connected them with 5mm jump rings. To do this, I replaced the 11/0 seed beads on the ends of each motif with 8/0 seed beads for the jump rings to go through. I like these bracelets both so well that I might buy some Kheops in more colors so that I can make some more.

  • 11/0 seed beads Toho "Transparent Montana Gold Luster" (204)
  • 8/0 seed beads Toho "Transparent Montana Gold Luster" (204)
  • Kheops par Puca beads "Jet Hematite"
  • SuperDuo beads "Granite Galaxy Gold"

  3. I'll be blogging about a couple more patterns for Kheops this week. This one is still probably my favorite but there's one more that I like very much. I'll be posting that one on Friday. It's a pattern that I'm sure you've seen a million times but I've added a twist.

    1. I bought both SuperDuo colors from BeadsParade on Etsy, HERE.

I've been noticing that some sites are calling the "Granite Galaxy" finish beads by the name "Tweedy". BeadsParade has them HERE and she's got a few left.

I think I bought the last of the "Matte Chalk Bronze" SuperDuos from BeadsParade and I haven't seen that color anywhere else. It's possible that they go by another name though. They have a pale pink cast to them that I really like.

I bought the "Opaque Rose Gold Ceramic Mix" Kheops from Artbeads.com HERE. They also go by the name "Opaque Gold and Smoky Topaz Luster" at Red Panda and other sites.

Teejay sent me the "Jet Hematite" Kheops from England. She bought them from Robin's Beads but I've seen them on other sites too. They're sometimes called "Hematite" or "Jet Hematite". I'm also pretty sure that the ones called "Jet" on Red Panda are the same color and you can get them HERE.

    2. Ann, I heard back from Nelly and she has 20 grams of "Matte Chalk Bronze" in stock and just listed them. She's going to ask her supplier if they still have that color too.

    1. Do you have a link to where you found them? I have a feeling that they're not the same because the "Lumi" ones are usually glossy. The ones I have a definitely matte. They're similar to "Opaque Gold and Smoky Topaz" or "Chalk Senegal Brown/Purple" but without the luster coating.

I love the first bracelet very much. I bought Kheops from France (Generation Perles) and made the Mady bracelet and Camille bracelet from Puca. That's all LOL
