Silver Moon Earrings - Denim Blue

 SILVER MOON EARRINGS
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (11-457D)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Dark Bronze" (8-457D)
  • 4mm bicones "Denim Blue" (Walmart - no longer available)
  • 3mm pearls "Bronze - HX30/13" (Beads One)

I thought I was finished making this series of earrings but at the last minute I decided to make one more pair to go with my Celtic Bracelet. I used the same blue bicones as Monday's earrings but replaced the black beads with bronze ones. I used the same bronze pearls that I used in the bracelet but in 3mm instead of 4mm. The "Celtic Bracelet" is one of my absolute favorites. I love wearing it and now I've got the perfect pair of earrings to wear with it. You can read about the bracelet pattern HERE.

  1. Denim Blue and Bronze is a great combintation. This is my favourite colour palette for the gorgeous Silver Moon Earrings. Thank you for sharing.

    1. I think it might be mine too. The seed beads almost look copper in the photo but they're really more bronze/gold. I had a heck of a time editing the photo so that the blue bicones came out the right color without making the seed beads look too red. I'm sure you know how that goes unless you've got a much better camera than I do.

  4. I made these earrings yesterday (one of them). They are so pretty! I'm not as experienced as you so I'm happy I could figure it out. I had to wait for the metallic bead order to arrive. Then I had to use what I had on hand for the other beads. It turned out to be similar to these colors - a denim or Montana blue bicone and some random 3 mm beads that may be druks (in a navy color with a slight swirl). I've never bought druks and these were in some mix so it worked. Our bead store closed and the other stores are not close by and are more expensive than ordering (understandable with a store front). We have the chain craft stores but not sure they carry the small beads. Thank you for the inspiration - I'm so happy that I found your blog! You are so talented!

    1. Thank you Ginger. I'm glad you were able to follow the pattern. I remember that the first time I tried it, the thread path was a little confusing. Are you able to take a photo of your earring(s)? If so, I'd love to see them.
