Bracelet of the Day - Dorothy Bracelet

DOROTHY BRACELET
  • 15/0 seed beads Miyuki "Olivine" (15-458)
  • 11/0 seed beads Miyuki "Olivine" (11-458)
  • 8/0 seed beads Miyuki "Olivine" (8-458)
  • 4mm druks "Opaque Green Luster"
  • Twin beads "Green Scarab"

Today's bracelet was made for me by my friend Teejay. It's her own creation and it's sort of a variation of the "Lovely Lace Bracelet" pattern that she shared with us recently. I had challenged Teejay to come up with a motif similar to the one in "Lovely Lace" but a horizontal motif instead of a vertical one. This bracelet is the result. It looks totally different than "Lovely Lace" but is very pretty. The name of the pattern is in honor of a dear friend of Teejay's who passed away.

Teejay used Twin beads in my bracelet but she said that regular SuperDuo beads actually work a little better. Here's a photo of the Twin beads that she used:

We'll be working on another pattern collaboration for this bracelet but I thought you might like to see it now. I will post the pattern for download when it's finished. I'll be pretty busy between now and Christmas so I might not post the pattern until after the new year.

  1. Fabulous, Tee Jay! We will all look forward to your pattern. BTW- am still unable to post on the shared board. And I notice that no one else has either.

    1. Is it still the same problem, Jeanie? Can you post a comment on the board? I'll check the board settings but I haven't changed anything. I did notice that Pinterest has made a few changes here and there recently though so maybe they broke something.

    1. Unfortunately, we ran into some problems getting the pattern to work reliably. I may give it another go after the holidays but it's on hold for now.

    2. Please do, it is fantastic!
On another note, I sent an email to join the pinterest group--don't know what to do from here. What is supposed to happen after we email?

    3. Jen, did you get an email invitation from Pinterest? I think there's a link in the email that you need to click to join the board. If you didn't get the email then send me an email using the message box at the top of this blog and I'll try inviting you again.

    1. Teejay and I ran into some problems with the reliability of the pattern so we've put it on hold for now.
